Almost half of all patients sleep, or want to sleep, in their contact lenses whether they’re in the right lens or not 1

When it comes to compliance, all patients behave differently. Some wear contact lenses too long during the day, and many nap or sleep in them—even when not approved for this use.

  • 66% of soft contact lens wearers say they accidentally fall asleep or nap in their lenses at least once per month.1
  • Of the 18% who sleep in their lenses:
    • 41% sleep in them more than 7 continuous nights1
    • 23% sleep in them continuously for 29+ nights. Even though 93% of these patients were wearing a lens NOT approved for this use1

No two patients react alike

Overnight corneal swelling can vary greatly from patient to patient–even when wearing the same contact lens.2

When you don’t know how a patient will react to a lens, it makes sense to select the lens with the most oxygen.
